Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Woman and the Swan by Boris Chaliapin for USD 298.75 (€ 303.11). This price was achieved in the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS at Christies in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Boris Chaliapin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Olga Spesivtseva in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,478.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Woman and the Swan von Boris Chaliapin für USD 298,75 (€ 303,11) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS bei Christies in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Boris Chaliapin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Olga Spesivtseva im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.478,48).
