In April 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work Shipping In Choppy Waters by Bonaventura Peeters. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,720.23), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bonaventura Peeters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping In Choppy Waters von Bonaventura Peeters zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.720,23) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bonaventura Peeters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 91.170,09).
