Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work An Italianate, mountainous bay with Dutch ships at anchor, figures resting on the shore before a tower by Bonaventura Peeters. It changed hands for a price of EUR 11,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bonaventura Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italianate, mountainous bay with Dutch ships at anchor, figures resting on the shore before a tower von Bonaventura Peeters zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 11.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bonaventura Peeters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 91.170,09).
