In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work A coastal scene with shipping in a calm with figures in a rowing boat and conversing on a shore by Bonaventura Peeters. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,556.76), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Bonaventura Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).

Im Oktober 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A coastal scene with shipping in a calm with figures in a rowing boat and conversing on a shore von Bonaventura Peeters zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.556,76) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bonaventura Peeters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post im Januar 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 91.170,09).
