In the Old Masters & British Paintings auction, the work The harbour of Famagusta, Cyprus, with Othello's tower to the right sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,558.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bonaventura Peeters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An estuary with loggers at a northern trading post in January 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 91,170.09).
