The work Czech bird by Bohumír Matal was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,804.15), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bohumír Matal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech the Lovers (Milenci) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 103,250.00 (€ 114,226.93).

Die Arbeit Czech bird von Bohumír Matal wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.804,15) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bohumír Matal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Czech the Lovers (Milenci) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 103.250,00 (€ 114.226,93).
