Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work Sleigh Ride by Bohdan von Kleczynski. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,424.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bohdan von Kleczynski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish resting Cossaks, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,442.56).
