Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Waiting to Depart by Bohdan von Kleczynski for USD 14,340.00 (€ 14,512.70). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art and Fine 19th Century European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bohdan von Kleczynski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Polish resting Cossaks, which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,442.56).
