In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work A Sussex kitchen by Blandford Fletcher. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,440.62), 44% above the upper estimate. Other works by Blandford Fletcher have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,359.89) in March 2005 for the work The Regatta.
