Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work French The Crown Jewels by Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 7,226.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition À La Verseuse En Cristal De Roche, À La Chope En Ivoire, Coupe En Serpentine Et Orchidée, which sold at auction in June 2011 for EUR 19,126.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit French The Crown Jewels von Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.250,00 (€ 7.226,36) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition À La Verseuse En Cristal De Roche, À La Chope En Ivoire, Coupe En Serpentine Et Orchidée beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für EUR 19.126,00 versteigert wurde.
