This work of art by Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine 19th Century European Art auction, the work A silver-mounted ivory Tankard, a Renaissance silver-gilt-mounted agate Cup and a Renaissance etched Glass on an agate Stand with an Iris on a draped marble Ledge changed hands for USD 14,340.00 (€ 11,677.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Blaise Alexandre Desgoffe have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2011 by the work Composition À La Verseuse En Cristal De Roche, À La Chope En Ivoire, Coupe En Serpentine Et Orchidée at EUR 19,126.00.
