Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Green Eggs and Ham by Blair Thurman was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2018. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,449.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Blair Thurman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jiffy Pop I (CCKSCKR HAT III), which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 50,923.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Green Eggs and Ham von Blair Thurman wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 19.449,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Blair Thurman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jiffy Pop I (CCKSCKR HAT III) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 50.923,20) versteigert wurde.
