Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Animalia, which included the work Pride of Africa, by Björn Persson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 4,107.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Björn Persson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July this year the work Eden was auctioned for USD 7,680.00 (€ 6,969.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Animalia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pride of Africa, von Björn Persson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 4.107,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Björn Persson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli diesen Jahres die Arbeit Eden für USD 7.680,00 (€ 6.969,15) versteigert.
