Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Rockholes Near The Olgas by Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri. The price achieved of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,190.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2009 the work Rockholes Near Ayers Rock was auctioned for AUD 18,600.00 (€ 10,530.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rockholes Near The Olgas von Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 18.000,00 (€ 10.190,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Bill Whiskey Tjapaltjarri konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2009 die Arbeit Rockholes Near Ayers Rock für AUD 18.600,00 (€ 10.530,61) versteigert.
