Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Me and My Shadow sight 24 x 21 1/2 in. framed 35 x 32 in. by Bill Anton. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,112.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,400.00. Admittedly, works by Bill Anton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wild Wyoming in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,318.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Me and My Shadow sight 24 x 21 1/2 in. framed 35 x 32 in. von Bill Anton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.112,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bill Anton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wild Wyoming im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.318,28).
