Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cardos Del Libano by Bibi Zogbé was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 20,840.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bibi Zogbé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lebanesecactus, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,432.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cardos Del Libano von Bibi Zogbé wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 20.840,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bibi Zogbé mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lebanesecactus beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.432,65) versteigert wurde.
