A top price for Bian Wenjin - as previously expected
The work Crane, Pheasant and Peony by Bian Wenjin was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 815,000.00 (€ 92,315.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Crane, Pheasant and Peony is the most expensive artwork by Bian Wenjin that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Crane, Pheasant and Peony von Bian Wenjin wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 815.000,00 (€ 92.315,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Crane, Pheasant and Peony das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bian Wenjin, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
