Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Sainte Famille, 1997 by Bettina Rheims was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bettina Rheims achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Crucifixion in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 47,302.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Sainte Famille, 1997 von Bettina Rheims kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bettina Rheims erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Crucifixion im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 47.302,74).
