In April 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Girl Dancing by Bessie Potter Vonnoh. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,188.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bessie Potter Vonnoh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Water Nymph': A Fountain in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 147,000.00 (€ 140,200.29).
