Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Bertina Lopes was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,376.00 (€ 6,173.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bertina Lopes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ritratto, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 20,250.00 (€ 24,008.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bertina Lopes wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.376,00 (€ 6.173,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bertina Lopes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ritratto beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 20.250,00 (€ 24.008,65) versteigert wurde.
