Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bertina Lopes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in November 2021. In the Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain auction, the work Sans titre, 1977 sold for EUR 20,300.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bertina Lopes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ritratto sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of GBP 20,250.00 (€ 24,008.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bertina Lopes erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain wurde die Arbeit Sans titre, 1977 für EUR 20.300,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bertina Lopes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ritratto im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 20.250,00 (€ 24.008,65).
