Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Autumn landscape by Bertha Wegmann was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 35,000.00 (€ 4,698.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bertha Wegmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish tender Moments in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 89,711.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Autumn landscape von Bertha Wegmann im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 35.000,00 (€ 4.698,72) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bertha Wegmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish tender Moments im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 89.711,50).
