Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bertha Sourdillon could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The beach at Cagnes sur Mer, France changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 477.99) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Bertha Sourdillon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2008 by the work Cagnes-sur-Mer at GBP 525.00 (€ 667.02).
