A top price for Bertha Sourdillon - as previously expected
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Cagnes-sur-Mer by Bertha Sourdillon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 667.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cagnes-sur-Mer is the most expensive artwork by Bertha Sourdillon that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cagnes-sur-Mer von Bertha Sourdillon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 525,00 (€ 667,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cagnes-sur-Mer das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bertha Sourdillon, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
