Despite a disappointment, a good price for Bertha Dorph
When the work Girl with a doll by Bertha Dorph was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,475.53). Despite this disappointing result, Girl with a doll is the most expensive artwork by Bertha Dorph that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Bertha Dorph
Als die Arbeit Girl with a doll von Bertha Dorph im Juni 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.475,53) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Girl with a doll das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bertha Dorph, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
