Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1986 by Bernice Bing was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,464.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernice Bing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figurescape in November last year with an auction result of USD 50,775.00 (€ 49,186.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1986 von Bernice Bing wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.464,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernice Bing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figurescape im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.775,00 (€ 49.186,28).
