This artwork by Bernhard Vogel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2006. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work San Giorgio sold for GBP 660.00 (€ 981.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bernhard Vogel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sant Nicolaskerk, Amsterdam sold at auction in December 2001 with the realized price of EUR 1,763.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernhard Vogel erzielte im August 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit San Giorgio für GBP 660,00 (€ 981,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bernhard Vogel; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sant Nicolaskerk, Amsterdam im Dezember 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.763,00.
