Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2010 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art including Contemporary Art from a Private Collection, which included the work Staten Island by Bernardo Siciliano. The auction ended at the price of EUR 10,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardo Siciliano - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Domino Sugar N. 5, which sold at auction in May 2010 for EUR 34,350.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art including Contemporary Art from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Staten Island von Bernardo Siciliano zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernardo Siciliano mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Domino Sugar N. 5 beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für EUR 34.350,00 versteigert wurde.
