Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Perseus and Andromeda by Bernardo Castello was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2016. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,752.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bernardo Castello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christ Heals The Centurion'S Servant in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 34,000.00 (€ 22,909.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Perseus and Andromeda von Bernardo Castello wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.752,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernardo Castello auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christ Heals The Centurion'S Servant im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.000,00 (€ 22.909,51).
