The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,973.00), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Salomon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Joseph and Potiphar's Wife (Gen. 39), which sold at auction in July 2004 for GBP 8,126.00 (€ 12,280.17).

Die Arbeit Rachel giving Birth to Joseph (Gen. 30); Judah and Tamar (Gen. 38); Joseph taken Captive (Gen. 39); and Joseph made Steward of Egypt (Gen. 42) von Bernard Salomon wurde im Juli 2004 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.973,00) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
