Despite a disappointment, a good price for Bernard Reder
When the work Lady With House Of Cards by Bernard Reder was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,806.43). Despite this disappointing result, Lady With House Of Cards is the most expensive artwork by Bernard Reder that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Lady With House Of Cards von Bernard Reder im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.806,43) den Besitzer.
