This artwork by Bernard Quentin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition, 1961-62 sold for EUR 3,470.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bernard Quentin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition, 1951 sold at auction in July 2010 with the realized price of EUR 5,355.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernard Quentin erzielte im Juni 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composition, 1961-62 für EUR 3.470,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bernard Quentin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition, 1951 im Juli 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.355,00.
