Admittedly, works by Bernard Lorjou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tournesols in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,874.82).

Die Arbeit Toréador von Bernard Lorjou kam im Juli 2020 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 5.330,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Lorjou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tournesols im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.874,82).
