Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Estarte by Lindsay Bernard Hall was sold in the Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The price achieved of AUD 5,760.00 (€ 3,444.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lindsay Bernard Hall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nude Reading At Studio Fire in May 2005 with an auction result of AUD 26,290.00 (€ 16,160.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit British Estarte von Lindsay Bernard Hall wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.760,00 (€ 3.444,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lindsay Bernard Hall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nude Reading At Studio Fire im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 26.290,00 (€ 16.160,61).
