Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny, which included the work Mother Feeding Her Child by Bernard de Hoog. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,872.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard de Hoog achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The bliss of motherhood in April 2007 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother Feeding Her Child von Bernard de Hoog zur Versteigerung kam.
