The price achieved of EUR 14,340.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Other works by Bernaert de Bridt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2003 the work A hunting still life with a pheasant and songbirds in a landscape; and A hunting still life with a cat, a dead hare and songbirds in a landscape was auctioned for EUR 16,730.00.
