This artwork by Benny Sy Li achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Red Pockets Everywhere sold for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,596.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Benny Sy Li; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Auspicious Snow to Hong Kong I sold at auction in March 2018 with the realized price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,204.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Benny Sy Li erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Red Pockets Everywhere für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.596,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Benny Sy Li; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit An Auspicious Snow to Hong Kong I im März 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.204,55).
