Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bennett Bradbury could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living with Art auction, the work Evening Solstice changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 456.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Bennett Bradbury have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May this year by the work Morning Surf at USD 956.25 (€ 897.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bennett Bradbury konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living with Art wechselte die Arbeit Evening Solstice für USD 500,00 (€ 456,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Bennett Bradbury wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Morning Surf mit USD 956,25 (€ 897,55).
