Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 8,433.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benjamin Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Group Portrait Of The Hussey Family, Small Full-Length, In The Garden Of Wargrave Hill House, Berkshire in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 44,694.03).
