Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Crepuscule by Benjamin Spiers. The price achieved of GBP 5,080.00 (€ 5,851.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benjamin Spiers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twist in June this year with an auction result of GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,127.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crepuscule von Benjamin Spiers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.080,00 (€ 5.851,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benjamin Spiers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twist im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.127,00).
