Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Benjamín Palencia could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting auction, the work Spanish La Era (The Harvest) changed hands for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 36,272.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benjamín Palencia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Librero (The Book Seller) in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 161,109.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

In der Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting wechselte die Arbeit Spanish La Era (The Harvest) für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 36.272,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benjamín Palencia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit El Librero (The Book Seller) im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 161.109,26).
