Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Benjamin Franklin Reinhart could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures auction, the work Kitty's pets changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,987.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Franklin Reinhart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Robert E. Lee in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,058.78).
