Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady, seated half length, wearing a green dress and a ribbon bonnet with a looking glass by Benjamin Duterrau was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2013. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,976.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Duterrau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An infant of Van Diemen's Land in September 2013 with an auction result of GBP 73,875.00 (€ 88,306.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, seated half length, wearing a green dress and a ribbon bonnet with a looking glass von Benjamin Duterrau wurde im September 2013 in der Auktion Australian Art bei Christies in London versteigert.
