Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction Majorelle and his Contemporaries, which included the work La joueuse de tambourin by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant. The price achieved of MAD 52,000.00 (€ 4,955.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 44,000.00 – 66,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 434,973.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion Majorelle and his Contemporaries durch, in der auch die Arbeit La joueuse de tambourin von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 52.000,00 (€ 4.955,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 44.000,00 – 66.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 434.973,11).
