Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Artcurial held the auction Orientalism Online, which included the work Garde du pacha by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant. The price achieved of EUR 7,085.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 434,973.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Garde du pacha von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.085,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 434.973,11).
