Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Artcurial in Paris held the auction A Tribute to Symbolism, which included the work Féodora by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant. The price achieved of EUR 5,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 434,973.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion A Tribute to Symbolism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Féodora von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King Of Morocco Leaving To Receive A European Ambassador im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 434.973,11).
