A top price for Benedict Masson - as previously expected
In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Amorous Approach by Benedict Masson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 837.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Amorous Approach is the most expensive artwork by Benedict Masson that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Amorous Approach von Benedict Masson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 837,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Amorous Approach das teuerste Kunstwerk von Benedict Masson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
