Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work LOVE TESTAMENT (2) by Ben Osaghae for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,021.18). This price was achieved in the auction AFRICA Theme Sale at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Osaghae - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Brotherhood We Stand, which sold at auction in May 2017 for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,460.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit LOVE TESTAMENT (2) von Ben Osaghae für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.021,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AFRICA Theme Sale bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Osaghae mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Brotherhood We Stand beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.460,54) versteigert wurde.
