Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marvel Lake (Alberta, Canada) by Belmore Browne was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 6,050.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Belmore Browne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quaking Aspens 30 x 40 in. framed 38 x 48 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 33,135.00 (€ 32,098.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Marvel Lake (Alberta, Canada) von Belmore Browne wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.375,00 (€ 6.050,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
