Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lake Louise, Rising Clouds by Belmore Browne was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,680.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Belmore Browne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quaking Aspens 30 x 40 in. framed 38 x 48 in., which sold at auction in November last year for USD 33,135.00 (€ 32,098.23).
